Cristiano Ronaldo Might Quit Al-Nassr — Contract Talks Frozen as Trophy Frustration Boils Over.
Cristiano Ronaldo's time at Al-Nassr could be running out — and fast.
The 40-year-old football icon has reportedly put contract talks on hold, after yet another season without a trophy left him visibly frustrated. And let’s be honest — CR7 didn’t move to Saudi Arabia to finish second.
Reports say Ronaldo was all set to sign a new two-year deal, but after Al-Nassr’s 3-2 loss to rivals Al-Ittihad and their exit from the AFC Champions League, the mood shifted — big time.
"I gave it everything — but where’s the silverware?" one teammate claims Ronaldo muttered post-match.
No Trophies, No Deal?
Since arriving in early 2023, Ronaldo’s been the face of the Saudi Pro League, banging in goals left and right — 33 this season alone. But even his firepower hasn’t turned Al-Nassr into champions.
The club’s higher-ups are reportedly not sure if pushing for a renewal even makes sense anymore. Some say a move to another Saudi team could happen. And Ronaldo? Apparently he's keeping options open.
"He’s not here for friendlies and photo ops. He came to win,” a source close to the star told The Sun.
Ronaldo flashes a trademark smile from the sidelines - a reminder that, despite the pressure, he’s still enjoying the ride in Saudi.
The 1,000-Goal Dream Is Still Alive
Even at 40, Ronaldo’s not slowing down. His stated goal? Hit 1,000 career goals before he retires. Right now he’s on 934, and climbing.
But whether that final stretch happens in Riyadh, Europe, or somewhere new — that’s now anyone’s guess.
Life in Saudi: Lavish, Peaceful... but Competitive
Off the pitch, though? Ronaldo seems pretty chill. He’s said he loves life in Saudi Arabia, calling the country "beautiful" and saying his family is “really happy.”
“We started a new life here,” he said in a Saudi Pro League interview. “Life is good. Football is good.”
He’s also been spotted enjoying local culture, hitting the Red Sea, exploring AlUla, and attending traditional events. Everything seems smooth on the lifestyle front.
(Though, fun fact: one fan spotted him mispelling “AlUla” on an Instagram caption. Nobody’s perfect.)
Ronaldo says he’s loving life in Saudi — the family’s settled, he’s soaking in the culture, and it all just feels like a fresh start.
So What’s Next for Ronaldo?
Honestly? It’s unclear. With his contract nearing the end, and no trophy in sight, Ronaldo might be done with Al-Nassr — at least emotionally. His ambition is still blazing, and he’s not hanging up his boots yet.
So the big question now is: Where does CR7 go next? If you’re betting against him reaching 1,000 goals, think again.
