It wasn’t loud. It wasn’t direct. But it was noticed.

On U.S. Mother’s Day, David Beckham quietly tagged his estranged son Brooklyn Beckham in a throwback Instagram tribute to wife Victoria Beckham — a small act that fans are reading as a sign he’s ready to move past the drama.

The black-and-white photo showed Victoria cuddling up with all four of their kids — Brooklyn, Romeo, Cruz, and Harper — back when Harper was just a baby. And in the caption? David kept it simple:
“Happy Mother’s Day to the best mommy. To all our friends in the U.S., Happy Mother's Day.”
No drama. No explanation. But yes, Brooklyn was tagged.

So... Is the Feud Still On?

If you’ve been keeping up, you already know things have been tense. Brooklyn and his wife, Nicola Peltz, skipped David’s 50th birthday bash earlier this month — and both the London and countryside events, no less.

That snub followed a growing list of missed Beckham family milestones. So what gives?

According to The Standard, Brooklyn’s rumored discomfort with brother Romeo’s girlfriend Kim Turnbull (his own ex) has caused some friction behind the scenes. Because yeah, that’s awkward — even by celebrity standards.

And Nicola? She’s reportedly not thrilled either. Per The New York Post, she’s felt “iced out” by the Beckham family for a while now. Some say she’s done trying. Others say she’s just tired of trying.

David’s Déjà Vu

Insiders say David is seriously rattled by how this is playing out — because it’s not the first time he’s felt this kind of father-son divide.

He famously had a rocky relationship with his own father Ted Beckham and once admitted it took over 20 years (and 100 England caps) to earn a “you’ve made it, boy” from his dad. No pressure, right?

In a 2024 sit-down with James Corden, David got candid:
“My dad never told me I’d done well until I hit my hundredth cap. That was the first time he said, ‘You made it, boy.’”

Now, David reportedly fears history is repeating itself, and that Brooklyn could be drifting away for good. One source even said the word “lost” is being used privately by the family — and not lightly.

Brooklyn Beckham and Nicola Beckham
Brooklyn and Nicola’s absence marked yet another missed family milestone, highlighting months of quiet tension with the rest of the Beckhams.

And Where’s Victoria in All This?

Victoria, ever the polished icon, posted a lovely bouquet she got from Cruz and his girlfriend Jackie Apostel. No word (or flowers?) from Brooklyn, at least not publicly.

Fans have noticed the silence too — no birthday message to David, no Mother’s Day love for Victoria. Brooklyn and Nicola’s social media pages? Quiet.

A Digital Olive Branch… or Just Optics?

It’s hard to say. Maybe tagging Brooklyn in that post really was a father’s way of reaching out. Or maybe it was carefully planned damage control.

Either way, fans are hoping it’s the first step toward getting the Beckham crew back in sync — or at least back on the same group text.

For now, we’ll be watching the follows, likes, tags… and what kind of flowers show up next year.
