‘That’s So Raven’ Actor Rondell Sheridan Hospitalized Amid Severe Pancreatitis Battle

"That’s So Raven" actor Rondell Sheridan was hospitalized with severe pancreatitis in May 2025. As medical bills mounted, he launched a GoFundMe campaign asking fans for financial support. CelebrityMash breaks down everything to know about Rondell’s diagnosis and the latest updates on his condition.

Rondell Sheridan’s Health Struggles

Sheridan, best known for playing Victor Baxter in That’s So Raven and its spinoff Raven’s Home, revealed on Tuesday that he was hospitalized in April due to pancreatitis and will be unable to work for the foreseeable future.

In a video message from his hospital bed, Sheridan explained his situation and asked Instagram followers to support a GoFundMe campaign to help cover his medical expenses.

The Cory in the House alum, 66, shared that he was first hospitalized while traveling. At the time, doctors suspected a gastric issue and discharged him after a few days. However, his condition worsened once he returned home, prompting another hospital visit. That’s when he was diagnosed with pancreatitis.

“I was in the hospital for nine days,” he said. “I got released, and I thought I was on the road to recovery. But ... my pancreas is inflamed, and there’s not much you can do but wait for the inflammation to go down.”

What Is Pancreatitis?

Pancreatitis occurs when the pancreas becomes inflamed. The pancreas—an organ located behind the stomach—helps with digestion and blood sugar control.

Symptoms can include severe abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, fever, and a rapid heartbeat. The condition can be acute (sudden and severe) or chronic (long-lasting). Severe cases may lead to serious complications and often require hospitalization.

Rondell Sheridan’s GoFundMe Update

Sheridan’s friend Isabel Beyoso launched the GoFundMe campaign, explaining that he had been hospitalized twice in April and is currently unable to work as he focuses on recovery.

“The doctors have said he just has to wait for his pancreas to do what it’s going to do before any further treatment can be considered, and in the meantime, he will be mostly bedridden,” the campaign description states.

“If we can all come together to help him financially for his medical and monthly bills while his body heals, I know this will be one giant stress we can collectively take off his shoulders so he can focus on resting, recovering, and healing. Every little bit helps and he appreciates you immensely.”

As of May 8, 2025, the GoFundMe surpassed its $35,000 goal, raising $53,265 in donations.
